For those in need of a rugged, unbreakable globe, these reproduction Mica Globes fit the bill. Their built-in reflector optimizes light distribution. If needed, you can drill a hole into the reflector for easy lighting.

These made in the USA Mica Globes measure 4 7/8" x 5 1/4" and fit 206, 220, 228, 231, 236, 237, 290, 295, and QuickLite lanterns.

I purchased this globe to use in a 228b that came with a very damaged mica globe. Fit is good, though it was off round and needed some tweaking (this was expected). It's a good quality, reasonably priced way to get into a mica globe. I recommend it.
